Lucine and Saki got married on 11/26/2016. I love their love story. They had run in the same group of friends for a while, but hadn’t met. All along, they knew the same people and has life would have it, they would finally met one of night. Not only did they know the same people, but they had so much in common, they spoke for hours. That night would be the start of their story. We could say that the rest is history, but the truth is their love story is just beginning. Surrounded by the ones they love, they exchanged vows at St. Helen’s Greek Orthodox Church in Reading, PA. A beautiful ceremony where they were adorned with wedding crowns and ceremonial walk around the altar, traditions meant to symbolize the sacredness of marriage.
Every detail was perfectly laid out. From the Chanel Perfume to the gorgeous clutch to the amazing gown she got at her best friend from college,Mia’s bridal salon Garish Boutique located in Baltimore Maryland. The beautiful flower girls were Mia’s daughters. They were absolute perfection. They took their flower girl responsibilities with precious care. You will notice that they gently released the rose petals from their hands so that Lucine would have the best rose walk to the altar.
Saki stood with his grooms men as Lucine walked towards him, her father holding her close down the aisle. It was just beautiful! I took my place and saw everything unfold. See, this was a little different, usually, I have to stand way in the back. This time, I was to stand aside the altar. I was really able to take it all in and witness the ceremony. The new perspective allowed me to capture her smile and his glances towards her. I was misty eyed the whole time. No matter how many times I shoot a wedding, I am reminded of the sanctity of the arrangement made by God and it is just so humbling. I am so grateful that I am able to be a part of these occasions… After the ceremony, they sealed their vows with a kiss! A reminder to do all things in love!
Family joined us for portraits and fun! The reception was hosted at the Double Tree Hotel in downtown Reading, PA. The room decorated like nothing I have ever seen before by the talented team lead by David Reppert and Wishes Entertainment and Events by Boscov’s. Truly an awe inspiring design team that captured the majestic feel of the entire day! Every.single.decorating element was lush, regal and refined. I wish I had more adjectives to express just how well this was done. Lucine and Saki’s vision for their day was magical! The cake was done by Well Dressed Cake, and that it was! Pomegranate beautifully adorned the cake, yet another lovely detail. Pomegranate is rich in Greek wedding tradition. Her beautiful grandmother gave her a gold ring and bracelet. This was hers and now she shares it with Lucine…
Rich in tradition, strengthened by the bonds of love. That is the best way that I can describe this perfect day!
Lucine and Saki, thank you for including me in your day. I loved being there and appreciate the kindness you showed to me and Patricia.
All my best to you both!
