Tea with friends, Tea with love – The GGS Hat and Gloves Tea Room, Mohnton, PA

On June 14, 2013 I was invited with my daughter to a tea party. It was , in fact, Queen with the Tea. The Queen of Mohnton, PA, Geri Seggara, owner of “The GGS Hats and Gloves Tea Room“.

The GGS Hat and Gloves Tea room was featured in Berks County Living‘s May 2013 issue. The tea room is ranked #6 out of all of Pennsylvania’s tea room from

Before coming out onto the porch for this image, the girls picked out a Hat and Gloves as part of their GGS experience.  Geri then met Ava and Bella on the front porch of the Mohnton, PA Tea room.
The Girls really enjoyed chatting on the veranda that was covered in beautiful natural light. The table adorned with lovely colorful flowers.

Now, they had it all out of their systems and were ready for Tea with the Queen!  The tables are perfectly setup with vintage plating, handcrafted doilies and fresh flowers from Geri’s own garden.

The girls loved the beautiful sugar cubes with sugar flowers.  Geri really gives a personal touch by creating place cards with each persons name on them.

Now, it was time to drink the tea! The lovely china that dressed the table was also user friendly. No spills on this table 🙂

The food was delicious! There were chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, moist muffins with local lemon curd & strawberry jam.

The hydrangea cupcakes from local Cupcake Wars winner- Ady Cakes LLC in West Reading, PA made  sweet addition to our spread.

The cookies, also made locally by Diane Pepple of Whimsey Doodles, were just as amazing as they could be!

As the sign says below “Love Blooms Where Kindness is Planted”. Crystal and her daughter Bella, surely showed the love!

Here are some of the sites from inside the Tea Room and the Tea Time Trinket Shop.

The experience was as lovely as you can imagine. Ava and Bella truly enjoyed their time here and are excited for their next Tea Time adventure.

The story telling by the little girl in lower right-hand corner will blow you away…. Its a blessing to do something you enjoy and to do it with the love and joy that Geri displays.

She does it all with kindness and a smile on her face. Not much has really changed since that picture of her was taken back then…

Much love Geri, and thank you for hosting us at your tea room! See the photos with music to match!
